Two Reasons Why People Fail to Make Money

It is almost an established fact that more than 80% of all ?stresses? we face in life are money related. It is true that having money does not solve all problems, but then again, the truth of the matter is that having money does increase one?s options in as far as problem solving is concerned. It is also true that having money or not having money can often make great difference in life: sometimes even the difference between continuing to live (and enjoying all that life has offer) and having to die. Indeed, there are many people who are dead today, who would probably still be alive if only they had just a little money.

Obviously, there is need to make money; when you take into consideration that having a little more money would solve at least some of the problems in your life, and that having or not having money can at times make the difference between continuing to live and ceasing to live.

Now one of the reasons given by people who face financial difficulties is that they have no opportunities to make money. It seems to be a valid enough argument, really, especially when you look at the indisputable fact that people living in countries where there are more opportunities to make money typically tend to lead much more comfortable lives than people living in areas where the opportunities to make money are much more limited.

Yet the greatest paradox with regard to this matter is that people who have spent all their lives trying to make money (and arguing that it was their lack of opportunity which was hampering them in that endeavor) still tend to fail to fully utilize such an opportunity when it finally comes their way: leading to a situation where many people continue to struggle financially, even after their having come across ?revolutionary? opportunities to make money. Why is this?

One of the reasons why people who have been yearning to make money all their lives fail to do so, even when faced with great opportunities to do make money is because of what can be described as ?the fear of success? ? seeing that many of us have been conditioned to fear success, because success (and its proper management) is a great responsibility; which many of us are not in a position to bear, our conscious desire for it notwithstanding.

Another reason as to why people who have been yearning to make money all their lives fail to do so, even when faced with great opportunity to do just that is because of ?ingrained poverty mentality? ? where people who have come to believe that they were destined to be poor, will usually subconsciously act in ways that keep them poor all their lives, in line with their established self concept. And by the way, unless these people who have this limiting self concept replaced with a more empowering self-concept, they are never likely to make money, regardless of the opportunities to make money that come their way.
