Make Your Site More Popular

After you have chosen a domain name and setup a website, one of the first things you will be wondering is how to get visitors to come to your site. This dilemna occurs whether you are setting your site up as a hobby, writing a blog about your main business, creating a niche site in order to make some income using Adsense, or planning to sell your own product.

Article Marketing to the Rescue

Although there are a number of ways to get the search engines to notice your site and to get visitors clicking in to it, one of the most productive and sure-fire ways is to write articles to distribute to free article directories.

Lots of Good Things About Article Marketing.

One of the first things that is positive about article marketing is that it can be done for next to nothing in way of money outlay. In fact, article marketing can be done for free if you have a little time and a gift for writing quickly.

Article marketing can be considered a hidden source of traffic – you don’t have to advertise for traffic. Submitting articles can get your site listed in search engines quickly. The content you create causes search engines to index your page, including the link that you include in your “about” or “resource” box at the bottom of the article. The search engines follow that link and find your site – exactly what you are looking for.

It’s Not All Rosy

You have to write original content (or pay someone else to do it.) Writing articles is actually easier than you would think, especially if you are writing about your product or your niche website. As long as you are writing about things you know about, writing a 400-500 word article can be accomplished in as little as twenty minutes.

If you really don’t want to do the writing yourself, there are a number of sources where you can hire others to do the writing for you.

And you must place the articles in the niche sites or article sites. Placement is always free, but each site has different methods for uploading or submitting the articles – since there are hundreds or thousands of such sites now, submitting all the articles can be quite time consuming.

This effort can be outsourced too. There are firms that do the article submission for you. And there are software programs that remove much of the tedium from this process as well.
