Before we start on monetization, I want to remind you that SEO applies to your posts too. Use your main keyword or phrase within the first 4 words in your title, at least once in your main paragraph. When deciding on tags, think of what terms you would use to find the topic of your post.

Do you have your own product or do you plan on promoting other people’s products or both? You could take some of the articles you wrote last month and make them into a report to either sell or give away.
It is much more important to concentrate on getting traffic to your new blog than to ad affiliate banners and ads. You could have the best looking blog, with high converting ads, but it won’t matter if no one sees it but the search engine bots.

Contextual Ads
Contextual advertising systems scans the text of a website for keywords and returns advertisements to the webpage based on what the user is viewing. This form of advertising is also known as Pay Per Click or PPC advertising.
Google Adsense was the first and is currently the most popular one that comes to mind, when speaking about contextual advertising. Some others are:

CPA – Cost Per Action Advertising
is when your visitor must complete an action such as fill out a form to join a newsletter or receive information. It’s generally used for lead generation. In a sense you could refer to it as pay per lead advertising. Example CPA Networks are:

Affiliate networks
Affiliate networks act as an intermediary between merchants and publishers (affiliates). Commissions are earned whenever a sale is made. Payouts are much higher than in either CPA or PPC and is generally a percentage or a flat amount of the purchase price.
